Volunteer Opportunities

Woodward County Toy Give Away-Monetary and toy donations will be taken for the Toy Give Away. Donations can be dropped off at the high school with Mrs. Bowers or taken to drop off locations around Woodward. Students wanting to serve for community service hours can talk with Mrs. Bowers.

Families Helping Families-food distribution for needy families
-Monday nights from 5-8 weekly

Merciful Angels-furniture distribution for needy families & also receive donations & unwanted furniture

-volunteers call Tom for location & to set up community service time to help
Pregnancy Center-(Tues-Fri 12-4) to volunteer

Successfully Dressing-sort clothes into sizes for clothes distribution for needy women in the work force
-Contact Person---Mary Hamilton @256-7159 to set up community service time to help
-Location—Woodward First Christian Church @ 9th & Oklahoma
Special Olympics-Volunteer to assist with bocce tournaments, bowling tournaments, and track and field
-Contact Person---Jennifer Dew @ High Plains Technology Center @256-6618
-Location—Depending on each event-Ms. Dew will let volunteers know time and location.

-Bring a utility bill with name & address on it & sign a form that they qualify in the financial guidelines
-can receive some groceries for the week

Joseph’s Coat-clothing distribution for needy families
-Contact Person---Patty @334-1957 to set up an appointment
-Location—9th & Kansas
-can receive 2 outfits & 1 pair of shoes for every adult present
-can receive 2 outfits & 1 pair of shoes for each child in the home
-can come one time per month
-Mostly clothes & shoes & possibly a few other miscellaneous items
